It has been 10 days since the attack launched against Israel, which included a cruel
massacre against families, elderlies, children, babies and youngsters dancing at a party,
killing and abduction of Israeli children, all during a date on which we were supposed to
celebrate one of our Jewish holidays.
We are deeply shocked by the killing, maiming, and abduction of Israeli children. We condemn
this horrifying attack.
We condemn attacking children, abducting children, depriving them of life, or putting their
lives at risk. We demand that every single child in Israel is protected from violence, and we
demand the immediate release of all the abducted children.
UNICEF's Executive Director, Ms. Catherine Russell, has requested the safe release of the
abducted children:
We, the Israeli Fund for UNICEF join the call for the immediate release
from Gaza of all the abducted children and for their immediate return
home, unharmed, safe to their loved ones.
