Rishon LeZion, the first city to initiate the international UNICEF project "Child Friendly Cities" recently completed the city's full assessment.
Commencing the second year of the project , the City Council led by Mayor Dov Tzur approved a full strategic plan written by the Israeli Fund for UNICEF together with professionals from the Local Government Institute at the University of Tel Aviv, Israel.
The program aims to promote structural change and calls on all levels in the municipality to promote children and youth within each sphere of the city.
